The computer center was founded in 1983 and under the Academic Affairs Office.

The school was renamed and computer center was separated from the Academic Affairs Office in 1997.

The computer center provides campus-wide computing facilities and related services in support teaching, research and administration in the NFU. To offer consultation to all staffs and students in the campus is another mission of the computer center. The campus fiber optics network was installed in 1993 and the network speed is Giga now.

The dormitory area network is provided by 100 Mb/s. Wireless network campus was introduced in 2005 and will be completed in 2006.
